From Fly Fishing Evolution Blog – Some Small Wild Browns…. and a Monster for Good Measure!

I got out on Sunday with Tom for some wild t in Southeastern Pennsylvania. We fished a few creeks. Some were good and one gave up a true giant! We fished both European Nymphing and dry dropper. We took more fish on dry dropper, but the big guy was in a deep pool and could not resist a Polish Woven Nymph. The Sage ESN played him like it was nothing. It was a great day with a lot of fish caught. I even got a little sun burn from the sun reflecting off of the snow! I know when I go to Colorado next week Tom will be getting some big ones :)

  1. Are you going to the Dream Stream? I live in Colorado and fish it weekly. It’s been a decent Fall. I know a 35″ 16 lb Brown was landed by my buddies client a few weeks ago. I’m headed to the Little Red in two weeks to hunt for the 20lb class. With zero generation what is your opinion of a float tube? Any location that may be worth it. I have to believe the BIG boys are hanging in the “salad ” before they move on the schoals at night. Colorado term for vegetation.
